What is a wax melt?
Wax melts are pieces of scented wax designed to be used in a wax warmer. As the wax gently melts, it releases fragrance into your home without the need for a wick or direct flame on the wax itself.
They are a simple and flameless way to enjoy long-lasting home fragrance throughout your space.
How often should I change the wax in my warmer?
Wax should be changed once the fragrance begins to fade and is no longer as strong as when first melted.
The wax itself will not disappear or evaporate, but the scent released from it will gradually weaken over time depending on usage and warmer temperature.
How do I remove wax from my wax warmer?
Allow the wax to fully cool before removal. To make this easier, briefly warm the wax for a few seconds until the edges begin to loosen, then gently slide the wax out of the warmer.
You can also use cotton pads to soak up warm wax safely if preferred.
Can I reuse wax melts?
Yes. Wax melts can be reused multiple times until the fragrance is no longer strong enough for your preference.
Once the scent has faded, the wax should be removed and replaced with a fresh piece.
How should I store wax melts?
Store your wax melts in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
Proper storage helps preserve the fragrance and keeps your wax melts smelling their best for longer.
What type of wax warmer can I use?
Wax melts can be used with both tea light and electric wax warmers that are designed specifically for scented wax melts.
Always follow the safety instructions provided with your warmer and never overfill the wax dish.
Are your wax melts handmade?
Yes. All wax melts are hand-poured in small batches by The Inner Hearth using premium soy wax and carefully selected fragrance oils.
Slight variations between batches are part of the handmade process and make each product unique.
Are wax melts safe around pets?
Some pets can be more sensitive to fragrance products than humans.
We recommend always using wax melts in a well-ventilated area and ensuring pets can leave the room if they choose.
If you have concerns about specific ingredients or sensitivities, please consult your vet before use.
Why does the wax still look full after the scent fades?
Unlike candles, wax melts do not burn away or evaporate during use.
